Practitioner-led, by design.
Liam Brennan founded Brennan Advisory Point out of years spent inside public agencies and legal organizations - investigating cases, leading departments, managing legal operations, and building systems when the available tools fell short of what the work required. He has written for the New York Times and the Washington Post, and has provided commentary on public corruption and government accountability to national news outlets.
That background shapes how the firm works. We do not start with software or with an org chart. We start with the work itself: who touches a matter, what decisions get made, what deadlines govern them, what has to be documented, and what the institution has to answer for afterward. Everything else follows from that.
Four institutions. One throughline: making complex work succeed.
Began his career as a federal prosecutor handling complex fraud, corruption, and international investigations, including as lead prosecutor against major corporations and Connecticut's former governor.
Led the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, growing a statewide legal-aid operation, strengthening its internal systems, and overseeing its growth into federal litigation and transition to a new case-management platform.
Served as Hartford's first permanent Inspector General, leading independent investigations, strengthening civilian oversight, and building the office's investigative processes and case-management systems.
At New Haven's Livable City Initiative, improved enforcement operations, updated hearing and compliance systems, and then built LCI HQ - a case-management platform designed around the needs of inspectors, managers, hearing officers, and the public.
